Buffalo Bull.
Earlier this year I, fortuitously, had the opportunity to hunt a buffalo bull myself. It was a short (3 day) but physically and mentally demanding hunt in tough terrain on a 14 000ha reserve close to where I live and work. Not my first buffalo but the first with my .375 (or any .375 for that matter). Realistically, this is probably the last buffalo I will ever hunt myself, though I hope to guide a lot more buffalo hunts. An experience I won't forget. Definitely my hunt of the year.

Re: Buffalo Bull.
Beautiful. Did you use peregrine's for the 375?

Re: Buffalo Bull.
Yes, 300gr VRG-3.
.375 H&H
Peregrine VRG3, 300gr.
Muzzle velocity: 2485fps.
Left: Shoulder shot at ±100m. Retained weight 298.3gr (99.4%). Bullet penetrated both shoulders, punched through heart and lungs and stopped under skin of off shoulder. Buff ran less than 20m and went down bellowing. Was dead when we reached him.
Right: Insurance shot with bull lying down on his side, already dead. Shot into spine at ±5m, angling forward. Punched hole through spine large enough to insert two of my fingers. Stopped in front of shoulder. Retained weight 257.4gr (85.8%).
