I reloaded for the 9,3 and found it to be an extremely tolerant (OAL did not affect it much as I had to load to box mag specs OAL) and inherently accurate calibre.

I once heard the 9.3x62 being referred to as a .375H&H for (insert dutch word for cats) who can't handle recoil. Apparently it is also woefully underpowered and unable to hit a target further than 100 yards away.

I've heard some weird shit too, especially sitting around campfires and hunting lodge, bar counters with hunters.

Actually its 70 m, 100 m when drinking talk and showing off abilities. It is often derided by hunters or paper punchers who own neither it or 375 H-H

Gun shops are also excellent places to collect pearls of wisdom.

So I've heard. I have always wondered why anyone would give themselves out as an expert in a field they know very little about. Surely that can't end well.

There are some threads and pictures referencing this, I think one of Gert Odendaals threads also shows the particular rifle in question. Dr Kevin Robertson, author of the perfect shot is a fan of the 9.3x62 and has shot over 600 buffalo with the 9.3x62. Note as a hunting rifle, not as a "charge stopper".

If was not for the fact that the Germans lost the world wars the 9,6x62 would have been a much more prolific and represented calibre in Africa than the 375H&H.

A very well known USA gun person who has extensively hunted in Southern Africa and the rest of the world once told me that there is no animal walking this earth that the 9,3 cannot kill.

They had the might 9.3 and still lost, shows you what a good caliber like 45 ACP can do

I think Rule 303 was mostly applied.
