Seeking silicone pads
Hi All,
Wondering if anyone can help...
My creepy crawley absolutely chows the footpads- I do have a salt-water pool, but the original and generic parts are just becoming silly expensive- upwards of R450- and I replace them twice a year.
I'm thinking of buying silicone sheets to cut my own. I did consider baking sheets, but either they're too thin, or too small by surface area.
Anyone know of a place from whom silicone sheets can be purchased? I'm in thinking of 50cmx50cmx3mm.
I'm in the Northern Suburbs of CPT, so if local- great- if by courier, that also works.
Otherwise- anyone undertaken something similar? What other materials could work?
Cheers for the help!

Re: Seeking silicone pads
Hey oafpatroll,
I get it tested often enough and I've never had a problem with pH.
My pool is a pretty rough surface- it looks like glass fibre- but I had it since we bought the house.
The rubber pads seem to stretch out so that the circle fitting the cleaner turns oval, and then they don't fit properly.

Re: Seeking silicone pads
Alternatively, consider a different design (and possibly manufacturer if need be) for an alternative pool cleaner.
900 plus for the parts each year adds up and may pay for a different unit quickly with less hassle.

Re: Seeking silicone pads
Any chance you have a Gunite Pool and not a Marble pool?
As that will eat the polony out of it.
The only one I have found to last in Gunite pools is the Mx8 type.
