Re: UKRAINE updates
Semantics, the one lot uses guns and violence, the other lot uses creeping bureaucracy to assimilate, the very reason BREXIT happened. The EU parliament just rubber stamps whatever the EU commission comes up with, from my perspective the tail is wagging the dog, and making a cross on election day does not make it "democratic". Please take note of what the EU plans on doing, eg voiding countries being able to "veto" decisions they believe to be contrary to their national interest, common voters roles, etc.Ie, no more national "sovereignty".
An EU army is planned to replace NATO for all practical purposes as part of the "united states of Europe".
Things may be lekker on the surface for now compared to SA, but for how much longer?

Re: UKRAINE updates
Some people seem to take the one-sided MSM reporting as the gospel.
Will we ever learn?

UKRAINE updates
It would help tremendously if we were allowed to get information from both sides. The censorship of opposing views is a hallmark of authoritarian governments everywhere.

UKRAINE updates
60-80 million people in the U.S. still read Russian news, despite censorship efforts by tech companies, according to the Russian Propaganda Index (RPI), a tool developed by Microsoft’s “AI For Good Lab.”
https://www.rt.com/russia/557714-mic...er-censorship/
“Having blocked RT and Sputnik in the European Union on March 1 at the request of EU governments, YouTube announced days later that it was expanding this censorship globally, and including all channels “associated with Russian state-funded media.””
Stating the obvious: Big Tech works for the government, not the consumer, regardless of the country.

Re: UKRAINE updates
I differ in how you interpret words not events. An invasion as part of a war of conquest is different from an application to join an economic bloc or a mutual defense treaty and that difference is not one of semantics.
For the record I don't like the idea of the EU and would have been a black belt brexiteer were I a pom.

Re: UKRAINE updates
Anyone not keeping an eye on the Kaliningrad situation might want to do so.
As the article states, what they have done might just be following EU sanctions, BUT it has a direct effect on Russian soil.
So, sure, you can poke the bear, but then you take the risk that comes with it...... and it seems like an awfully high risk for what it achieves. But then maybe that is the point.
Russia responds to Lithuania’s blockade of Kaliningrad with new threats of ‘action,’ worsening fears of World War III

Give this a watch, https://www.youtube.com/c/SpeakTheTruth1
He is making an effort to to keep the keep his subscribers up to date with developments, and includes 2D-maps, 3D-Maps, Combat footage, some good old Russian propaganda, interviews with people fighting in the foreign "branch" of the Ukrainian armed forces, etc.
The Russian propaganda machine is marching at a much faster pace than the Russian boots on Ukrainian soil. They make Joseph Goebels look like a kindergarten teacher.
