Colt 1911 Centennial

Does anyone know if the above will be available in SA?

It should be a nice addition to most collections.

According to the "Complete Book of the 1911" - Centennial Edition, 3 versions with special numbers will be available:

V1: Single pistol for NRA
V2: 750 pistols - engraved, gold inlays, etc.
V3: WW1 version - orders available till end Nov 1911

V1 and V2 will obviously be out of reach for me. But the V3 should be nice to have.

It also seems every pistol produced by Colt in 2011 will bear the inscription: "100 years of service"

Kimber, Para and other will also have centennial editions, but for me for a centennial I would like to stick to the original.

I don't know if we even have a Colt agency in the country. And I would GUESS this machines are going to be sold out quickly in the states.

I hope (wish) to find an bog stock WWII era 1911A1 to celebrate the centenary.
