SANDF weapons piling
What is it with the way our troops stack their R4’s when stationary, muzzles pointing into the ground, kind of like the pic in the attached link. I’ve seen it a number of times, with different units. I can’t think that resting the rifle, muzzle down on the flash hider is good practice. What gives as it seems standard practice.

I got caught up in reading the article. It's even more puzzling than the rifle with its barrel stuck in the ground.

Ya look that article is kind of indicative of the state of the Army

I shudder to think what would happen if we were invaded. But judging from their discipline (or lack thereof, given my defending at least one during a Court Martial) they would probably go on strike for better pay.
