Default High standard model 10B value?

A friend of mine has one of these semi auto shotguns he wants to move along but has no clue re value?

Firearm is in great nick, with plenty of time on license (S16).

It is 12 guage with a mag capacity of 5, bullpup design. I believe it has some history in US law enforcement.

A Rock Island auction listing from 2017 comes up with an expected range of 900-1500 USD. Ian of Forgotten weapons did an episode on one which wasn't exactly glowing. .

Cool thing to have as a collectible but IMO not ideal as a shooter given local parts support on a small volume piece from a company long out of business.

To a collector something I guess. Best here is to ask Classic Arms for their opinion. But im sure going to be very low.

But to normal sport shooter or hunting type shooter I see no value at all.

Thanx, yeah mmmmm… $1K = R15K, don’t think he is realistically expecting anything even close to that.

I have a Gun Africa issue from about 10 years ago where they did a refurb project with one.

I paid R500 for mine which I was happy with for collection. Runs ok but depends on gas system which can be incorrectly assembled for ammo being used. Any High Standard semi-auto shotty manual can help fix that.

Classic Arms came back with 8-12K estimate.

It sounds optimistic to me to say the least. Peter when did you pay R500?
