The magazine keeps falling off, even after I fitted an aluminum magazine receiver with a decent latch, because the magazine is plastic and the latching post wears out. The original magazine release by the way is long and has a weak spring that releases the magazine with the slightest touch. Definitely a weakness in design.Besides it makes the rifle ugly. It's a pity for a pretty little rifle like this to be spoiled by a plastic magazine sticking out of the bottom ( when it doesn't fall off).

It depends from person to person. If you are going do the chassis platform you will need to run the Legacy Sport magazines.

For me a hinged floor plate design will work much better for my purpose of the rifle even if the round count is less.
