Barns Bullets
Afternoon Everyone.
Does anyone know where I can get 250gr Barns bullets for a 338 Winmag?
If anyone has any they might want to sell I would be a happy buyer.
Regards

Re: Barns Bullets
Hey 414
I have tried them and my rifle just does not like them.
Its probably me and the way I reload but barns have never let me down.
If you have an option please share.

Re: Barns Bullets
Kriek bullets have given excellent groups in my 223 and 243.

Re: Barns Bullets
Peregrine have a good name locally. If you need a hunting bullet, get the VLR4 for your caliber, and pay attention to the twist requirement.
They also make a target VLR5 which is the same weight as the hunting VLR4, but cheaper, which you can use for the load development.
I can recommend them, I've only had good service from them. Their quality is top class.
They make a range of bullet weights that are suitable for normal hunting rifle twist, so you will definitely find something that works for you.
I asked for a custom weight .375 target bullet, and they made it for me, I just had to take 200. Barnes won't do that for you.
Another thing you can do is order a few sample bullets - you don't have to take a whole box.
If you contact them, and tell them what caliber you have, the twist, and what you want to hunt, they will recommend the right bullet for you, tell you what speed it should fly at, and give you load data.
