Re: Elon Musk's Twitter purchase
Me three. The archetypal leftard safe space is looking like getting blown wide open. The vast majority of people banned from twatter did not stray out of legal bounds so if Musk actually makes it into a free speech environment subject only to current laws on libel and so forth the frothing lefties are in for some two way traffic for a change.

Re: Elon Musk's Twitter purchase
The point of free speech in my opinion is to allow ideas to be 'transacted' in a free market. Left leaning people leaving twitter is no more laudable than right leaning people being banned. Public oratory used to be the preserve of the connected and powerful. If the web, in the form of twitter, can keep it in the hands of the proles a great service will have been done to western democratic civilisation. Challenging a loony raving lefty/right with an argument they cant have suppressed in a globally accessible forum must be a good thing.

Yeah, the point of free speech is to also allow the views you don't like from the people you don't like.

Re: Elon Musk's Twitter purchase
From what I've read, he's financing $29 Billion of the $44 Billion. Twitter doesn't even make enough in a year to cover the 4.5% interest on the loan portion.
