SKB pump

After a really dismal performance on rock pigeon last monday my mate and I decided to take the trap out and hammer clays until we felt worthy of going into battle with the feathered devils again. His cousin came along for the ride and brought his SKB pump action. Despite being a confirmed SKB over and under fan and the woefully inexpert driver of a 505 Sporter that I love more than my retirement fund, I had never had the opportunity to handle or shoot one of their pumps.

What a treat, it's a beautifully carved out and screwed together thing with an action as smooth and positive as any I have experienced in a pump action. This one came as a two barrel set with a half choked ribbed barrel and 'riot' style shorty. It fit me near perfectly and I shot it surprisingly well. I will now be keeping a focused eye open for one of these to add to my safe.
