Re: Lessons learned from KZN Riots
The Western Cape was spared the events of July last year.
When the threat subsided (in their view) a good many people that I have spoken to believe that the Western Cape is immune to such. They see last years riots as a KZN/Gauteng problem. People here are living in a bubble. What will it take to jerk them back to reality that this is a national problem?
We are in serious trouble in this country, if the riots were not enough of a wake up call of a general bigger picture well then….

Re: Lessons learned from KZN Riots
I ran out of milk, had my pronutro with warm water instead.
2 big problems, 1) okes have a revolver or pistol etc. but only 5 rounds that have been in the cupboard for who knows how long.
2) Forwarding dodgy whatsapps that come from an unknown source, predict devastation in your neighbor hood and are sent mailiciously to stoke fear and uncertainty, ie psychological war fare.

Re: Lessons learned from KZN Riots
The pronutro with no milk is the biggest problem
The other issue with point 1 is the people also probably have not shot or done any training as well.
And, point 2, people just feed of that, we have seen that on this forum as well.

Apart from all the obvious, i have a insulin dependent son. That was the most stressful time i had. Were fortunate to fly in insulin to a private air strip close to us. Obviously our fridge has now more insulin than beer.

Re: Lessons learned from KZN Riots
Some guns that were bought in fear for the 94 elections, came out of hiding from safes, sock drawers and towel cupboards. With ammo older than that even. Plus, some had guns, but maximum of two mags of ammo for it.
Never heard of so many guys looking around for 6.35, 7.65 and 9mm short ammo in my life

Forgot to add 38spl.
Apparently, police at the front line didn't have enough ammo, and some shooters loaded for them quickly.
Also, a large dbn based security company flew in ammo from Gauteng to a private landing strip/ golf estate
