Wow. He literally brought a knife to a gun fight. What utter stupidity. I wonder why anyone would bother with robbery in a gun saturated place like Texas (no offense intended to forum members who live there) as it seems akin to a suicide mission.

The solo robbing of gunshops requires some enhancements, especially when using a knife. I would hope that he was hopped up on meth at least else he really wasn't putting his back into the job.

Precisely. The article did mention that he looked like a homeless individual. Homeless = addict = alcoholic = not responsible for his actions = fuck the rest

They updated the knife laws a few years ago. I can carry my Randall Number 1 or my 10” Bagwell Bowie for backup or a good automatic blade, hell, I can carry a Katana if I want, not that I want to. I prefer a second gun.

Why not 2 guns AND a knife? That way you have all your bases covered.
