Yup. Renewal delays is a freeby. Just the hassle of dealing with people that don't understand the legislation.

I also think that renewals only go to the Provincial office for adjudication and not to CFR, so hopefully renewals will not be hampered by the flood of “New” applications which will go to CFR.

Also my understanding. It'll be funny if I get my new app that's in before the renewals.

I have an appointment with my DFO on the 13th for my S13 application. I really hope it doesn't get delayed too long

My most recent renewal took nearly 11 months. Whatever steps are skipped it doesn't seem to have speeded proceedings.

Rather have an application in there than no application at all...dont be discouraged, but be prepared for a possible long wait

A friend of mine had his amnesty application approved a few months ago. I was surprised how quick it was, received attention on Sunday 18th of April 2021.

I handed in a renewal on 25 January 2022 - stopped in at my DFO this morning to "look & see" if my card is there.
Was told that renewals now take very long - the amnesty mos!
