    Default Shotgun parts / gunsmith

Good evening members have a few questions.

I inherited a S&w pump 12g 916T and found firing pin broken so what would you recommend.
    My options in preferred order:

1 replacement part .... depending on price I would move to option 2 .....any recommendations of who would have parts .. S.A located

2 I would beable to turn my own, not a huge job but what material should I use? "I have heard things like drill bits, socket extension, and allen-key " and turn it to size

3 have a gunsmith do it at the cost of 40% of the value of gun.

The pin is approximately 40mm in L x 8mm in thickness tapered down to app. 3mm

Any suggestions on above would be appreciated.

Nicholas Yale (JHB) often have S&W parts as they are their agents.
Call them and then have your local dealer order it from them if they have or can get. (Nicholas Yale only sell to dealers)

NY is agents for the firearms but parts and maintenance is done by someone else in PTA.
Just can’t remember who right now

depending on how/where it's broken you may be able yuo use the original with just the FP replaced - drill and solder in a replacement and shape to fit. Back end of a drill bit has worked for me a number of times.

    Interesting
I had TacticalHQ order me 2 S&W parts last year and they said the parts came straight from NY
Would appreciate the name of the other supplier if you find it.
