Nips and tucks on an old CZ75
My grandad gave me a pre-B CZ75 when I was 19. I carried it for about a decade before giving in to lighter weight and easier to conceal plastic framed carry guns. I've always loved the old girl though and recently decided to give her a couple of nips and tucks so she can have a shot at keeping up with the Instagram generation.
Started with an LPA adustable rear and Eemann fibre optic front that was fitted to a longitudinal CZ style dovetail cut for me by Craig at Mkonto. Today I fitted a a Cajun hammer and adjustable sear and during the course of the week I'll strip it down again and polish up all the surfaces that can cause drag like the trigger stirrup bar and hammer strut.
Depending on my level of enthusiasm I will give the hard chrome a light blasting and coat with Kal Gard Gun Kote.
These are relatively small changes but they have given the old thing a new lease on life. Can't wait to try out the new trigger on tuesday as in dry fire it feels sublime. Not a hint of creep and a precise 'surprise break'. Hard to believe that you can get this sort of quality with drop in parts.
Cajun hammer and sear
My grandad probably wouldn't recognise it as the ratty enameled beater he gave me all those years ago

Re: Nips and tucks on an old CZ75
Thanks gents. They really are fine guns. I attribute it to the Czech's never having gone full retard commie.
Something I found interesting was how boogered the ordinal sear was. The engagement surface was unevenly worn and had a burr on it. I can't help but wonder if it was from the hammer which was hard chromed with the rest of the gun in the 90's. It gave an almost 2 stage effect in single action with a long take up and then a shelf which needed a deliberate press to overcome.

One quirk for anyone considering the Cajun sear/hammer to be aware of is that it makes it possible to engage the safety with the hammer down but that doesn't safe the gun. You can still pull the trigger double action and fire. Given that this is now a dedicated plaything that's not an issue for me but it is worth noting.

Round count or perhaps any serious issues encountered with your specimen?
I would guess that slide stop to be the original one your 75 came with,. ?
Cause mine looks identical,. trying to establish whether mine was ever changed..
