Well, I'm in the process of licensing my 1960's AKM. Did a close inspection and they do seem to be unfired. The cleaning kit in the stock is missing on mine, but the Russian manufactured magazine makes up for it.
Can confirm that they are indeed Russian made. Little triangle with an arrow inside it. Mine also have a very interesting serial number as the two first letters are Cyrillic.
