Berreta Musgrave S58 S Trap
HI, i am looking for a bit of guidance from the experts please?
I have an opportunity to buy a Trap gun from a gentleman, but have no idea how to place value to the gun.
It has seen fair use with a couple of scratches and blemishes on the barrel and action, stock has been worked on but it is still the original stock.
I don't want to low ball the gentleman, nor do i want to overpay.
Any advise?

My 2c: 8 to 10k dependant on condition. From what you describe closer to 8 than 10.

Trap guns are normally choked full and full so not ideal for anything but trap and maybe high flying waterfowl. If the action is still tight without dings in the barrels and the stock fits you up to R10k will be a reasonable price if you are planning to use it for trap. If not rather look for a more suitable gun.

As Fourie above. Trap guns will be full choke. As you need distance on them.
Other than that the Comb will also be higher. This is to make you look more down onto rib and make your impact higher.
With Trap you want your shot pattern to be at least 70% above 30% below point of aim. As Clay moves upwards.
On Sporting and Skeet will be lower comb so Shot will be more 50/50.

Re: Berreta Musgrave S58 S Trap
Thanks Gents.
I've decided not to buy, but rather help the gentleman to sell.
Thanks for your input.
