The ANC was interviewed in 1996, the now dead Jesse Duarte, they were told by criminal experts they have two years to bring violent crime under control.
Jesse went on to blame the SAPS lack of capacity on apartheid (sure they needed more officers to patrol the new population integrations)

The reporter SAID IN 1996 the ANC will make crime a commodity.... and they have

How many billions in taxes do these scumbags collect from private security?

Private security basically fullfills SAPS mandate in many areas and PAYS to do it

The ANC has never been serious on crime, because it literally generates revenue

Biggest private security industry in the world, VAT on every vehicle, uniform, proficiency certificate etc

Why would they fight crime, and reduce the demand for private security?

Now they shit themselves that the private sector dwarves the military and police, so they ban foreign ownership, are now trying to ban certain use of firearms (slrs etc)
    Because they fear a coup

I have never seen a liberation movement who claims to represent the masses, be so scared of the masses that every useless unknown minister needs a blue light convoy and VIP protection.

    ANC is simply organised crime

Here we remove the keys from the ignition, apply a steel/metal rod around the steering wheel to the accelerator, put a lockable bolt through the gears. Push a hidden button that kills off the battery so car cannot start. Lock the doors, check they locked (twice), activate the alarms - then they still steal the car.

Failing the above they will just wait and carjack/kill you.

Mmmmmm not saying that the scenario is unlikely, but in my experience domestics often make up elaborate stories and pour spice on existing incidents to gain sympathy. Especially this time of year.

I fully agree and my dad gets "roped in" every so oftenly by his domestic worker, but please don't ask him if he feels guilty that's when a argument starts between the 2 of us. Its his money anyhow.

I have staff that have to be home by 5pm, else the washing gets stolen off the line

As bad as we have it in the suburbs, one can only imagine the criminal scum that is faced daily in the townships

Only silver lining is it does seem township justice is alot more expedient than SAPS and the courts

So do you let them go home before a full work day is done, because of this?

If they working late some of their wives who work for us will leave and get home, sometimes 4:15

having the same staff for over a decade does help with trust

Before the Cv-19 happened, the number of active crime syndicate (gang) members in SA was estimated to be around 1,5 million. Then the whole economy was disrupted, not by the sick and dead, but by the enforced lock-downs ruining a lot of businesses. Lots of people lost their source of income. Where did they go? Did they all find employment in some new businesses?
The current estimate is that we are now hosting 15 million + active crime syndicate members. That is a fairly big percentage of the official 60 million population, or even the estimated 80 million actual population.
The top syndicates are focussing on the more lucrative fields of "business", like gubbermunt tenders, SANRAL, Eskom etc. Next are the CIT robbers, ATM bombers, car jackers, human traffickers, drug dealers etc. Below them are house robbers, copper cable thieves, solar panel thieves etc, etc. The lesser ones are more into small crime. It is suspected that most of the top officials of the current regime are all top dogs in these syndicates. The top guys are highly sophisticated and use top technology for many purposes, including gathering info on their targets. Take a look at your friendly pres and his clown-with-a-hat minister, and you will see where this is going. With such a head, how deeply do you expect the police to be infiltrated? So who exactly is expected to fight the criminals? Their buddies who get paid by your tax money maybe? The few honest cops still left in between all the syndicate members maybe?
The situations is likely to get much worse first, before things will improve again.
And do not think that you can really flee from these things, the same tendency is being observed in many places that were traditionally regarded as "civilized". The tin foil hatted conspiracy theory nutter in me says that they are encouraged, funded and protected by the same individuals who are promoting civilian disarmament, consumption of bugs and 24/7 surveillance worldwide.

Good summary A-R, the state legitimizes criminal enterprise while dismantling legitimate business, all helped along by the unions and 'political science commentators' with a smattering of government officials thrown in.
