Ok, so I'm thinking of upping the home security even more (seeing that I can't get my hands on any Gold Dots). What are my options regarding remote surveillance at home?

Ideally looking for something where I can monitor from quite a distance (further than the boundaries of the domicilium) - seen a couple of pretty nifty setups where one can monitor the house and surroundings from one's state of the art cell phone and the likes. Problem is, I'm of the "low income" cell phone folk (dang expensive ones tend to scratch/break/bend in your pocket when competing with the Spyderco) so I'm a happy camper when my cell is MMS enabled.

I would like a system that is:
a) cheap(ish) (I know, I know, never be cheap with ammo, security or whiskey...but still)
b) not too bulky (don't want to upset mother's interior decorations ;))
c) on demand display so that I can take a look-see whenever I need to
d) easy to install - preferrably the plug and play type setup happy0065

Does anyone know of any off the shelf setup for this?

Thanks,
Om (bored at work today...)
