UTG PRO Quick-detachable AK Side Mount

Hi All.

I cant find anything using the search fuction about the UTG PRO. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on this product? Is it any good? Im thinking of using it on A Norinco Type 56? Any info will be much appreciated.

I have one on my Saiga.
It is centered and holds zero if the tension screw is tightened properly.
By centered I mean left/right.

It does sit a bit high. A cheek riser is necessary in my case.
The feature of being able to use the iron sights with an optic mounted is not very useful. The gap is too small to get a proper sight picture.

Hi

I mounted one on my type 56 and it didn’t work. The rail lined up parallel but to the right hand side. The offset is very noticeable.

Only way to fix this is to make some sort of a shim plate. So it can be in line with the bore

Didn’t bother with it and went back to a red dot on the gas tube instead
