Thank you to Livingseeds for the open invite and the fantastic day as hosted.

The wealth of information to learn new information, gain a different insight and recap on other info in the suppressed memory bank was appreciated.

A pleasure meeting you Trundle, albeit very briefly.

Your friendly and knowledgeable staff that I met are fantastic, each one with a positive attitude.
    The atmosphere was great.

Camo, your stall looked very good.

    Thanks to everyone involved.

Ps. The quality of produce being grown is phenomenal.
I have always understood (and known) the Heirloom quality of seeds is very different to most GMO seeds or general seeds as commercially sold.

The vast variety of quality plants you have growing in one area is a sight to behold.
The well stocked seed bank with the vast variety has my respect.

The flavour of those I tasted (don't worry, only a few) is phenomenal.
    Quality on the highest level.
Your mid range chilli that I ate
(I don't fear them, just respect the hot ones)
had my eyes misting behind the glasses... I enjoyed the whole thing with only the stalk going to compost...😂
    Flavour on a different level.

Could you elaborate a little on how Heirloom seeds are different.

I can do, possibly later this evening when I have more disposable time.
In the interim Google (or use another platform that you prefer) and do a search and learn exercise.

Have a look over the Livingseeds website, there is a tab marked "what are heirlooms" for you to learn firsthand there as a start.

    Thanks, will do.

Just curious if they need less nutrients/water/fertiliser, etc. to produce the same crop and so on.

Edit: Just visited their site and they gave a very good explanation of what heirloom seeds are.
Great variety of seeds to choose from as well. Great resource.

@Fire-Stick really great to meet you, and thank you for coming out.

We were pleasantly surprised at the need for information from the people that attended.

Took a look around your site. I see that your turmeric and ginger roots are sold out, is that because they are popular and people are buying them, or because they don't sell and you haven't restocked?

Been attempting to grow some of the wonder vegetable turmeric myself and also some ginger from shop bought stuff. Turmeric is easy to grow as long as it doesn't sit in water, likes water but must drain. My attempts at ginger have been less successful but I suspect that it is because I haven't been giving my plants any nutrients to feed on.

Anyway, great site. Will go through my seed stash and see what I need.

My personal thanks to Trundle and Mrs Trundle

Wonderful day out on the farm.

The garden really is spectacular and is witness to the product they sell.

Was interesting to listen to the questions of the attendees: Most I would venture are not of the same mindset as say many on this forum, but, given circumstances are now asking the hard questions.

Really was diverse mix of languages, races and genders.

    Well done Living Seeds!

Turmeric, Ginger and Galangal are really good sellers on our site.
They are however a seasonal product and we only sell them when it's the right season to plant and propagate.

They should be back in stock around Sept/Oct of this year.

Feeding is a large requirement as is light shade, they do best with some form of light shade and adequate feeding.
Very few root crops enjoy excess water.
