Nitro Solvent

I assisted my neighbour when he moved and he gave me a full (sealed) container of Humphrey's Nitro Solvent.
Is it only meant for use inside the barrel of my firearm or can I use it on other parts as well?
There are no directions for use on the container and I cannot find a lot of info on the web.

I presume it is much the same as RAM Nitro solvent. I wipe all the metal surfaces when I use RAM Nitro solvent. Dont think it has much value as a rust inhibitor though.

It's intended for dissolving powder residue/fouling. Some have other solvents in them for plastic, copper etc. I wouldn't bother using it as a general cleaner and as samanjo says it won't do anything for corrosion resistance.

I'm not familiar with the Humphrey make, so just wanted to find out where on the firearm I can use it.
Will just avoid the polymer bits and see how it works on the metal surfaces
