    Default Lansky sharpening advice needed

I have been using a lansky for over 15 years and noticed that the knife point are getting round

    Any advice to prevent this?

I have started sharping from the point to the back but this has not resolved the issue.

It happens when you sharpen at the point/tip especially on long knives. The angle of the stones get more parallel than perpendicular to the blade and then with the stones slipping “around” at the tip the tips get rounded.

On long knives, try attaching the Lansky T Piece as far forward as possible and concentrate to not “slip” it ovee the point.

Above is my thoughts as I only see it with my longer knives. The short ones stay pointed.
