HH Combat Bowie available

The HH Combat Bowie is a prototype of a new profile in our Hollow Handle range.
The hand-cut sawteeth are reminiscent of Randalls and work well in this configuration.
We wanted to expand our repertoire with a KG coat,but decided on an Oxide-blast stripe finish (which isn't a new treatment for us,but is new on these models).
The 6.5mm N690 blade is 250mm (9.8in) long,overall length is 380mm (14.9in).
The clip is sharpened.
3Cr12 guard and Aluminium buttcap,with tan cord-wrap and 303 SS makes for a striking handle.
Safely sheathed in cowhide.
Available now at R9800 shipped.

Question, the handle looks perfectly round, if so, how do you keep such a large blade indexed with a round handle?

I'd be interested to hear how the knives are constructed. I have a kink for Reeve integral hollow handles and have a couple of those and a Rausch copy. I'm guessing these aren't built the same way?

Andrew,when we wrap the handle,there is a double line of cord oriented with the edge,this serves as an index,and to "interrupt" the concentricity of the handle.
Obviously,the handle is still not as tactile or ergonomic in use as an oval handle,but it's the trade-off with this style blade.

Oafpatrol,my first exposure to quality HH knives was a Jereboam,which was a gift in 88 or 89 (which I passed on to the next generation recently). My second was a 7in one-piece dagger which I sold,third was a Jereboam IV sawback (iirc,I forget the models) which I still have.
I acquired a smaller Rausch one-piece (I'm not sure if it even had a model name then) in 95,i think Derek wasn't make sheaths for these then. I used and abused that knife.i dig the one-piece knives.

I use the "Elishewitz method" of tang construction.
Jimmy Lile pinned a slotted threaded insert to the tangs.
Elishewitz (I first saw Alan use this method) split the threaded bar,the pieces are then pinned to the tang,matching the threads to the tang,which was threaded separately,the handle is then screwed on.i use epoxy to seal and lock the handle in place.
The attached pics are a WIP of 1 of the 3 Anniversary HH knives).
All machining and threading is done by us in-house from raw materials (except the compass,we can't build those,yet )
