    Default Norinco AK47

So I see there is stock of the Norinco AK47 coming in soon
Just wanted to find out whats peoples thoughts are on this gun?
    https://elitefirearms.co.za/product-...loading-rifle/

Price seems very attractive at 11500
Thinking of going for the Underfolder

I see some people are selling their Norincos on GunSite's classifieds for more than what its selling for brand new - what am I missing here? Were the older batches better?
I didn't wanna hijack their posts and ask the question there and end up derailing their sale.

There is an extensive, detailed thread on the ak platform. In short, it is an excellent choice, value for money.

    Couple of reasons:

-The new ones are not here yet, only expected end of January. With the current licensing speed, they can buy and license before the new ones even hit the shelf.

-The factory its made in - factory 66 is the goldmine, 313 is next best. The newer ones dont state whuch factory.

-The person has the extra money, and doesn't want to wait.

No hard and fast, its supply and demand.

My local WildMan here in Brits is advertising the new batch of Type 56's for a mere R15k.

With regards to the actual firearm itself, it's awesome! Great value for money.

Curious: can you tell me exactly why?

Honestly, I don't know why people regard it as such.

Ive read a couple of different things, but nothing scientific to back it up.

I bought that gun and it's because rumors of type 56's coming in have been going on for close to a year now.

I could hold out for a better price but who knows when they'll arrive.

This is my second type 56, I have the under folder and this is a fixed stock. Underfolders have been very scarce in the last 5 years.

I have also been eyeing the new stock that is coming in.

A question, how readily available is 7.62x39 vs .223? And is there a major cost difference?

No point in saving on the rifle, but paying through your arse for ammo and it's not always available.
