Glock 49 released

I was scrolling through Youtube this morning and noticed a short from the glockstore channel announcing the new Glock 49.

It works on the same philosophy of the Glock 47, but this time, is sitting on a Glock 19 frame - essentially creating a Glock 19L.

Ill be buying one when they land.

They can stop making any new models now, this is the last Glock one could ever need

A question for the more knowledgeable - the 47 and now the 49 have 4.5 inch barrels, but a G19 length recoil spring. How does this affect the shooting characteristics of the gun as opposed to a 17, if any?

They will handle / feel / recoil more like a G19 than a G17.
There are those fanboys who will cry foul and claim that a G19 length spring will feel JUST like a G17 spring... Good luck with that. because a dropped suspension car with less wheel travel will be JUST as comfortable on a bad road as a normal car with long springs...

I know between a G17 and a 19 the spring length is not hugely different, but it isnt the same either...
