Howa 1500 thread size

I own a Howa 1500 300winmag and want to purchase a silencer. Does anyone know what the standard thread size is of the threaded barrel from the Howa factory for 300wm?

Thread Size: 5/8″ 24TPI

America is a very big market and they have standardized on this thread size for most guns with normal profile barrels.

Some of the smaller calibers e.g. .223 rem, 6mm Creedmoor come with ½" 28TPI.

Has the barrel been pre-threaded? If not you can have it threaded to fit whatever silencer you choose to buy.

Haha, yesterday this theory was proven wrong. Most 9mmP AR type PCC's have ½ by 28 thread but my Karris's thread is ½ by 36.

But why, I wonder.

I am trying to upload a photograph of the threads but this what I get, how do I rectify it?

Do you have access to a vernier or a micrometer to measure the outside diameter of the thread?
To check the pitch, without fancy tools I put a little bit of anti seize grease on the thread and then push a piece of white paper on the thread, this leaves a very nice imprint where you can check, count or compare the thread.
