    Default Best lube for 10/22

Not to detract from this tread https://www.gunsite.co.za/forums/showthread.php?110393-Best-Gun-Oils-amp-Greases-1600-Rounds-Fired&p=1510750#post1510750

What is the best lube to use on a 10/22 that won’t turn to sticky tar after 1-200 rounds.

Eezox would be a good choice. Dries to the touch.

    SLP 2000.

Love the stuff. And very little needed to keep all my guns running smooth.

I have been using this stuff in my 10/22 for a while now. I must also admit that mine runs pretty dirty, since I have a suppressor mounted permanently in addition to 22LR ammo being notoriously dirty to start with.

I have found that a few drops of this stuff into the action keeps it running. Rather put in too much than too little.

The stoppages that I have experienced were caused by the mags and a dirty chamber. Do clean both regularly.

Did you mean SLP, or was that supposed to be Slip 2000 ? I will finish my bottle of Slip soon and haven’t seen it anywhere. If it’s Slip, where can I get some ? It keeps the slide grooves well lubricated.

I use Eezox to help prevent all the external faces/parts from corroding, but Slip for the moving, sliding parts.

I use Slip2000 on all my guns for lube and Eezox for rust prevention.
What help with all my guns is to polish all metal on metal areas with a scouring pad which makes it silky smooth.
The problem with a semi .22 is that the recoil spring is quite weak and there is a fine balancing act.

If you use it in the original container you mus be a very "rich" man. LoL
I made a my own needle oilers by glueing a injection needle into the cap of a squeeze bottle and grind the tip shorter. Now I can apply a small drop or drops of oil where it is needed because the original container put a lvery big blob of oil in all the wrong places. Now you save oil and it stays cleaner.
