Transition to Red dot from iron sights
I can't find the dot!
Hope all are well. I've recently got my side milled & red dot installed. I've been doing a lot of dry-firing to get used to/finding the red dot.
Please share yrls tips on your transition to optics & how to quickly find the dot.
What has helped me thus far is:
- Focus on the target, and not the dot.
Thanks

Can you give an estimate of the cost involved in fitting a red dot please.

Re: Transition to Red dot from iron sights
If or rather when I get my first RDS mounted on a pistol, I will make sure that I can see the sights in the bottom of the RDS window. That should allow me to line everything up as per normal and the red dot will just magically appear where it is supposed to be. At least I hope it will work that way...

Practice, Dry fire and range time.
Don't forget to do some one handed drills as well. I recently found that my weak hand shooting needs a LOT of attention on my EDC Glock 45 with RDS.
