Well if you missed the truck to CFR in your province then 18 Business days is correct as it will be stuck there for a month before it moves.

Is there any option other than just waiting?
I submitted 23 November 2023, was sent to Provincial DFO on the 29th November 2023. Only moved to Sent to CFR on Friday, 9th February.

Was curious to find out from forum members if their experience with relicensing has changed. I submitted 3 renewals in Nov 2023. Year later, and still waiting for any form of movement. According to the "where is my App" app, it just says it's in processing. My local DFO is of no help. Just keeps telling me that they are extremely backed up and it's slow - shew it's been a year with not apparent movement.

What are the options? is there a provincial number we can all? Is there an appeals/complaints email? The challenge I have with this very long process is that even though I know I am in the right with regards the law - I applied well before the 90 days expiry etc etc - these are section 16 firearms. I am a dedicated sport shooter. For all intents and purposes, these firearms for me are now confined to the safe. I would hate to be caught in a roadblock with them and try explain to the average SAPS person that I have in fact applied for renewal so the license is thus still valid. A Little receipt saying I have paid for 3 renewals means very little to the SAPS person. I have another bunch of renewals that I need to process early in 2025 ..... so another bunch of firearms that I cannot use for the same reason.

Anyone have a number or email that can be used to try resolve the situation... it really is a big mess with no end in sight. Any thoughts out there? tx

Emailing a complaint to your provincial complaint address may help. In the meantime what I do is to have a recent screenshot, a link to the saps renewal website and, a picture of the receipt onynphone and a copy of the receipt in the vehicle. Never needed to use any one of those for what it's worth. My gut feel is that a SAPS skelm who doesn't buy any of those is just a skelm and would be looking to fuck you over any way.

Any extra time on a renewal is free. This is where their incompetence works against them. Enjoy the wait :)
