    Default RUGER MKII ammunition

I do not know if this question came up before. Can I fire .22 LR high velocity ammunition in my Ruger MkII pistol?
    Thank you.

I would try avoid it, but a few rounds here and there is probably ok.
What rounds in particular is it?

It should function and do fine with high velocity but hyper velocity might be too long for the chamber.
With high round count firearms shooting the equivalent of magnum ammo there is a chance that it will have unwanted wear... but I would recommend looking for an answer on Rimfirecentral.
The US guys have many a Ruger MK and have sent kazilions of rounds down range so they will have a very good understanding of do's and don'ts.

A few forum posts on a google search seem to indicate that this works very well in the Ruger mk 2 and 3 target pistols.

I have personally fired thousands of HV's through a Ruger Mk.1, and a few hundred Stingers and similar too. No issues.

I had a MKII target, it loved std and HV's, functioned like crap with subsonics. I put a about a thousand to thousand five of CCI Stingers through it and showed no signs of heavy wear.
