Current state of the Type 56
Yes, another T56 thread seeing that its the main AK variant available.
Does anyone have feedback on the last few batches of Type 56s that have come in over the recent years.
Science based feedback
Round count
Acccuracy
Reliability .
Is it still the same as the ones that came in a good few years back. I recall renting the one at Tims old range and they mentioned some high round count and it was still functioning.
Any other AK variants being brought in?

Re: Current state of the Type 56
Does is really matter?
Open sights, minute of man.
I think it will do what it says on the box.
Ammo is also fairly cheap, but I am sure very few people will shoot it to any major round count.
And at the price its worth the risk.

Re: Current state of the Type 56
Mine came in a couple of years ago. Over 1000 rounds, no failures. Plastic and steel mags.
Sights didn't need adjustment. Looks as if you will be shooting at the target next to yours though :)
I can do a group at 50m that I can cover with my hand.
I had to make a slight adjustment to the slant muzzle break to stop it from flopping about.

Re: Current state of the Type 56
I'm interested to see the new SDM AK's performance
They are regarded as pretty hobbled together around the world.
My Factory 313 type 56 never had a days issue, we were shooting paper plates at 200m, albeit after a good bit of kentucky windage using a Vortex RDS

Re: Current state of the Type 56
Well they are very Cheap. Current once brought in by thanks to Dave Sheer. Is the Norinco 56.
And they are 11 to 12.5 depending where you buy.
Dave Sheer also bringing a ton of upgrade parts for it.
Got a Norinco 56 Underfolder today. And really the pictures does not do it justice. Very very nice.
The trigger has a little take up has very nice break and very light trigger pull. for sure under 4lb. going to test it but I am sure feels like 3lb break.
Just waiting for the ammo to arrive at shop will then test drive it a bit.
But the build quality on this Norinco far exceeds the price.
