Geco fmj 9mm ammo
Howzit. Safari outdoor has Geco 124gr 9mm ammo for R299
Wanted to find out if anyone used them before and what's the verdict?
Thanks

Re: Geco fmj 9mm ammo
Very good price .
I see Bunker has 124g at R299 also.
At this price, it makes reloading not really that worth it , for 9mm

Re: Geco fmj 9mm ammo
Geco used to be German, but was bought by a Swiss company RUAG as Ammotec .
RUAG has just sold Ammotec to Beretta Italy
Ammotec also owns Norma ammunition.
International users report Geco 9mm made in Switzerland, Hungary or Germany depending on Lot.
Geco also assembles cartriges in the USA for that market

Re: Geco fmj 9mm ammo
Also depends on when and what price you bought the components and raw materials. I'm running 9mm on bullets that cost me less than 25c each to cast and powdercoat and primers and propellant bought pre-covid. If I were in my early twenties and just starting to shoot my own ammo I think I would probably find a different 'hobby'.
