    Default Verreaux'a Eagle.

    Verreaux's eagle, formerly known as the Black eagle. In Afrikaans we call it a witkruisarend, which, while not obvious here, is a very descriptive name as the bird displays a white rump in flight. Photo taken between Colesberg and Philippolis.
