Re: PFTC The Professional Firearms Trainers Council
GOSA attended as did PFTC and ITA and various others.
I was invited to leave soon after commencement because I wouldn't stop asking where the established need was, and how they could possibly justify this parallel development path since PFTC's programme was already established and functioning well.
PFTC left soon after as did a number of the other role players."Always remember to pillage before you burn"

RE: LEGAL PROCEEDINGS: QCTO and SASSETA
The PFTC launched a second urgent court application to interdict various staterole players such as the QCTO and SASSETA from developing a skills programmeto replace Qualification 50480.The PFTC raised concerns that the state role players do not have a legal mandateto Quality Assure Firearm Training which was delegated to the PFTC by the QCTOin 2012.
At the proceedings yesterday, the Judge ruled that the application was noturgent and struck the matter from the roll, with a mild cost order. The Judgefurther indicated that although the matter was not urgent, the opposing partiesmay be in contempt of the court order issued on 11 July 2024.
The Judge hadfurther concerns with both the rationale for the skills programme and the mannerin which the state roll players had gone about trying to develop the skillsprogramme with no apparent need for it and in the absence of a satisfactoryexplanation why it was needed.
The Judge confirmed that we have a validargument, and we will now continue with our case following the normal courtprocedure.
The PFTC are still authorised to maintain the status quo and continue with itsfunctions in respect of Qualification 50480.
We would like to thank you for your ongoing support and will keep you up to datewith further developments."
