It is about 2.5mm thick, stretches quite well (25% without too much effort), it looks like wetsuit on the out and inside, it looks like 3 layered carton, made of nylonish material and it is very breathable and you can see a bit of light through it.

And it appears to be able withstand a knock or 2
    Interesting wonder what it is...

Are you referring to the fabric called Neoprene?

Essentially, similar to or it is "wetsuit material" I think I remember correctly.

Hello guys, I've been following this topic for a few weeks, and today I finally finished installing the suppressor mount, so I'd like to share some of my experiences:

    1. The first picture shows the completed setup. I used 3M stick to attach the mount inside the safe. My initial plan was to make use of the space between the door and the interior of the safe. However, the suppressor and the mount turned out to be slightly larger than the gap, which caused them to be squeezed and blocked when closing the door. As a result, I had to choose a different location.

    2. The second picture shows the mount without the suppressor. You can see that the mount is foldable, which prevents any collisions when taking out or storing firearms. Additionally, I wrapped both the inside and outside of each mount with rubber strips cut from bicycle inner tubes, so even if there’s a collision, it will hit the rubber instead of metal.

    3. The third picture features another suppressor of mine. I noticed a previous discussion about neoprene, which reminded me of my polyester stickers. With these, my suppressor is no longer just a plain black. Although I bought at least six rolls of different patterns and colors, which weren't cheap, they allow me to customize my suppressors to my liking. Isn’t that great?

    4. Lastly, I got lucky because my company gave out promotional items to customers, including a laptop stand that came with a long bag. This bag turned out to be perfect for storing a suppressor, so when some customers discarded these bags, I collected a few. Now, every suppressor I own has its own "jacket."

That's awesome, thank you for your detailed post Riversun2K.

I've tried a few options on my side. My suppressor is too thick for pvc pipe. I picked up a old SADF brown plastic container for a signal rocket. The length is perfect, but it isn't wide enough to put the suppressor in.

I have my eye on a SADF brown plastic mortar container, but the guy wants too much for it.

PVC pipe is very easy to form and will stretch a long way. If you get a pipe that's close, as in within 5mm or so and make a mandrel from wood or even the suppressor itself a couple of minutes in the oven and bobs your uncle.

Good to know, I'll give that a try. Thank you

Pleasure. PVC is low temperature stuff so you don't want to go much above 100 degrees C or you risk it decomposing. A heat gun also works well. If you have a decent pair of thick gloves you can do a very neat job of forming detents and such by hand. Last suggestion is to lightly lubricate your 'mandrel' so it goes in more smoothly which helps it stay centred in the pipe.

    Excellent general advice.

But I know one thing that never dies,
the glory of the great dead.
