Type 56 - Optic Option

Good Afternoon, I hope all is well!

I've been wanting to mount an optic to my Type56.

I am aware of the all different methods in doing so, however I was curious about this one...

AK rear sight rail - I saw it at one of our local gun shops with an optic.

Cons: Obviously loose rear sight, however the rail seemed to have a "back up sight built in", which aligned perfectly to the front sight if the optic gave up.

Would love to find out more, cheers!

I have the last option, the TWS Dogleg 3, which has yet to go on my AKM.

Hi guys, I would like to get a TWS Dog Leg and some other AK Accessories, are there any restrictions that I need to be aware of if I plan to purchase sights/hand-guards/rails/stocks or grips from US stores like Brownells or Primary Arms that claim to ship to SA?

I compile a list of what I want from Brownell and then send them a mail. They will reply with what they can send to SA or not

I finally went with the TWS (Texas Weapon Systems) Bitty Dot Mount.

Still need to zero it and all that good stuff.

The whole thing looks amazing. If my license ever comes through, I don't think I will be satisfied with the wooden furniture.

Is it a good idea to put an lpvo on an ak?
