    Default Is PMP operational?

I saw an ad placed by Outdoor and All sales today for .308 143gr ammo from PMP. It would appear that they still seem to operate. Anyone with inside knowledge on what is going on with PMP currently?

I would be very happy to get ProAmm ammo or locally made primers again.

One of my patients resigned two years ago as Millwright from PMP, as he got fedup sitting around.
I think they have the same luck as the Post Office to become a lucrative state owned business

I see they now list 7.62x39 on their website (I know they tooled up for Ruskie ammo in the early years)

Haven't actually seen much PMP around, and when I did their pricing was bananas anyways

143 grain would also be Military Surplus ammo, so might be ammo found somewhere in a storeroom.
The packages I saw at Safari&Outdoor Lynnwood, was in the military packaging.

Must be pretty lucrative when they supply SAPS, and all that PMP P marked ammo ends up on the market, guess they just place another order

Indeed, the ad showed ammo in the brown box military type packaging.

I heard a rumour at one time that they did not have packing material left, so might be why they pack boxer ammo in military packaging material.

The PMP ammo is headstamped 308 and PMP. It was made for a US civillian contract. The 308 and 9x19 124gr is a overrun on the contract.

I get 2820fps from my Musgrave K98 with a deviation of less then 5fps.
