Bresser Condor 2.5-10x56 Rifle Scope, Iluminated Reticle
Hi All
Any thoughts on the Bresser Condor 2.5-10x56 Rifle Scope, Iluminated Reticle rifle scope for 308? There seems to be very little information about it on the web.
Mainly for bush hunts.

Hi Osie,
Never heard of it,
Maybe give some guidance on your budget as that always helps people to give recommendations?

Re: Bresser Condor 2.5-10x56 Rifle Scope, Iluminated Reticle
About 8000 i looked at the leupold today and was not much impreased with the 1 inch tube so prefer something with the 30mm tube in 3-12 range or so.
Was iritated with a local gun shop as they wanted to sell me a scope of 13000 when i said my budget is 8000 today.
I know the zeis etc is very nice i could have also told them that but I am not gonna spend that money now. Maybe in a few years when I upgrade my set up then we can spend more.
I know it is not a lot but for a first rifle I honestly dont have a big budget so have to stick to it.

I like what the Bresser offers for what you pay for it though

One can argue that a 56mm objective and a 30mm tube is overkill for bush hunting. Don't know what rifle you have but you could get a decent 3-9x40 with a 1" tube, and still have money left over for ammo to zero it with.
If you feel strongly about a more target-oriented scope, I'd consider the AKRA Genesis 4-16x44, which fits nicely in your budget. FFP and MIL reticle if you want to play with gongs, but the reticle illuminates nice and bright to serve for hunting purposes. I bought one for my mainly-gong-shooting 308, I'm impressed by tge build quality and the clarity of optics. Have not mounted it to the rifle yet, but I don't expect issues.

Arken optics seems to get rave reviews everywhere.
