    Default MDT Field Stock.

Does anyone here have experience with this stock? I am considering buying one to fit to a Howa 6.5 Creedmoor bull barrel. Weight is acceptable for hunting at ±1.4kg. The rifle currently wear a laminated stock in the "Euro varminter" style. The problem is that this stock is not ambidextrous, due to the roll-over cheekpiece.
I do not like the detachable magazine system of the MDT but I guess that I could live with it, as this is not my primary hunting rifle. The rifle will mostly be used for open plains hunting, by me and clients, with occasional, informal long(ish) gong shooting.

For what it’s worth. I ordered one today for my Howa 6.5 Carbon barrel. The stock on the Howa is not great and makes contact with the barrel. Instead of bedding it I decided to go for the self smithing method.

I have had the chassis on the rifle for about two weeks now. Accuracy has improved and it’s a shit ton better in terms of ergonomics than the standard stock.
