Got lucky from a guy that brought one back for his Saiga
Did you go AR route for a rifle or PCC route?

    I am so undecided haha

Was set on PCC Stribog, then saw the AKDAS SA9

    Then saw 12" AR15s

If the dealers had gotten back to me I would have purchased immediately, but there was no forth coming invoices, so now I am taking my time and shopping around

The 9mm's look great. Don't you lose a bit of oomph with 5.56 in a 12 inch barrel?

Yeah you do, but the loss is minimal in comparison to say a 10"

I want something handy, Ideally it will be a 9mm pcc backpack gun

But I'm not gonna beg my local dealers to sell me one haha, no invoice no pay

The right guy would remove the barrel. Center to center it and then cut the threat with a lathe. This way you will be amazed how thickness from inside to outside differ from top to bottom and left to right on barrels.

Hand tapping, if you have no other choice, is useless if you haven't concentric the barrel center to center first.

Look at the front of this barrel. Handcutting a thread is a No GO.

I don't think there are many shotgun smiths more 'right' than Demotorque anywhere near me. Have a look at Heath Robinson's explanation above about what he thinks the reasons could be.

I'm in a similar boat, current internal debate is 12.5" vs 14.5" with a law tactical folder kit.

I'm trying to upgrade my alarm system, I get a call or someone on site, and then never hear from them again. I'm trying to give you my money, must I beg?

Ya it's ridiculous. This is exactly how I bag alot of work in KZN, guys are either lazy or slow

We fully booked until Feb 2025, and the guy 250m up the road from me has closed down, same niche market, same client base.

Anyways :) gives me time to shop as I am actually in no rush haha
