Rimfire Options - What is out there?

Good evening Members

Can anyone tell me which dealers in and around JHB have nice entry level options in stock?

Keen on the CZ457 Synthetic. But are there other similarly priced options to consider?

Or if anyone knows of a nice used rifle at a dealer?

Out the box, very little competes with the CZ457 in terms of price VS. features, aftermarket support and accuracy.

What's your budget? That's the big one. You can get new rifles all the way from R7k all the way up to "I'm not eating in 2025" prices.

The CZ457 is at the top of my budget at 13K. What options are there from 7K? @Toxxyc

Wanting a bolt - more deliberate - save ammo.

Go with the best you can afford. The CZ457 is an excellent option. If you look after it, it is very likely to outlast you and your kids, and still be accurate.

Thanks A-R. Agreed. Still keen to hear what else is available? Unfortunately very few dealers have an online presence.

The 457 is lekker. Alternatively you can keep an eye out for a second hand option. I managed to get a hardly fired (37 rounds) 455 with a leupold scope and bag for less than the asking price of the 457 alone.

If you want to push the expense Sako Quad. Very accurate, Main reason for buying the Quad and selling my CZ was as its trigger pull now matched my 222 and 308 Sako trigger pulls after replacing with Yo Dave trigger springs. All three triggers identical weight and pull.

I did the yodave kit on my Model 2 and it's awesome. Can highly recommend.
