Re: Rimfire Options - What is out there?
Decide on your budget and just buy whatever CZ (or Brno) fits into that budget. The reasons for doing so will only become fully apparent as the years go by.
(I have a serious emotional attachment to 1930's Mauser .22's and firmly believe that they are the pinnacle of development of .22 rifles and everything since then has been downhill but I'm having a brief pragmatic moment so just buy a Brno/CZ)

Re: Rimfire Options - What is out there?
I know of a Marlin XT for R7,190, from a gunshop in Vryburg (Molopo Wapens). It was given to me as an option but I passed, it being over what I wanted to spend on a cheap .22.
EDIT: The Marlin XT is a semi-bull barrel bolt-action mag-fed rifle and it looks to have picatinny mounts already fitted on the rifle, so you just need rings and a scope.
