Please keep in mind that the stock on that rifle will have a relatively low comb compared to modern rifles. A scope like that will have to be mounted substantially higher than a smaller scope, compromising the user's cheeck-weld.
An experienced shooter can work around that, but it's really not ideal for a relatively inexperienced shooter.

Hi Heath
Well noted, there is currently a "cheek piece" on the stock and if worst comes to worst we add a Hornady cheek riser with spacers.
Once again thank to all for your input, the intended use for the rifle, depending on its condition , will be hunting, being a P14 action, with what appears to be a "healthy barrel" and dedicated reloading I sure we will get some satisfying results out to 250 meters
