I suspect the Proof of Residence is to ensure you actually live in the stations district. They never actually attach it to the application

I had the unfortune of having to surrender a FA (The FA was destroyed on the range, GS thinks it was a stovepipe jam). The S13 lady made me make an appointment to collect the documents I need to fill in. Went back got the documents and then another appointment date on when I can actually bring the FA for destruction.

Its actually more of a slept to get rid of a FA then it is to get a new one.

P.S. She mentioned that my comp for all firearm classes will be cancelled when I surrender a FA. I know this to be BS but its what they are being trained on.

I need to renew my section 13 license at Lyttelton DFO. What is the latest advice on how to motivate a section 13 renewal? Can I just state my circumstances have not changed and the firearm is required as per the original motivation? Or do I need to write a mini motivation attaching crime statistics in my area, route to work travelling past dodgy areas etc?PS I actually received a reminder sms from CFR that a renewal was due, which was efficient of them.

I keep all my previous essay writing saps projects and simply reuse them with updates to the variable content such as stats. I have no idea whether adding a pared down replica of the original motivation makes any sense at all but I couldn't be arsed to risk having to go through the ballache of an appeal. I think the update of my last S13 renewal doc took 20 minutes if that.

I renewed mine in December stating what you wrote above. No hassles. Received my renewal notice in 30 days but no card yet

They are beyond random. Every renewal I've done has taken around a year to process.

I submitted my renewal application today. I stated my circumstances have not changed and the firearm is still required for the same reasons as supplied for the previous license. I did include a two pager motivation with the crime statistics for the precinct, dodgy areas I drive past to and from work that are in the top 30 hijacking hotspots, my advanced age, and that a firearm helps one to break contact during an attack.Re SAPS Lyttelton, I arrived before 8am, there were 3 officers on duty, I was helped immediately, and the whole process including payment took less than 20 minutes, so good show.

My favorite is having to submit new ID photos, only for the latest license to have the original photo I submitted for my first license over a decade ago
The lightie on my license looks NOTHING like I do now. Pointless activity

Could be worse though, my mate got his license back with someone else's pic haha
