Unfortunately not, however I suspect it has something to do with lining up the hammer just so. I shot 100 rounds today of mixed .38 special and full house .357Magnum, was very disappointed. Basically like shooting hot 9mm with 357 ammo and .22 with .38 specials. No recoil at all. Very boring :)

LOL :)! My first "real" handgun was a 6" GP100 (no underlug). I couldn't get that gun to move with any handloads including 177gr bullets. I eventually settled on 38+P's as they had a bit of a pleasant snap.
Mind you .44 Mag was the rage alongside .45 Auto in our club. My best buddy almost cried a few times because his 9mm didn't kick enough...

It might sound strange but I want recoil from my .357 magnums. I need a change from shooting 9mm all the time.

I hate to shoot full power 158gn rounds in my 2¾" Ruger Speed Six. LoL, it isn't fun for me.

A set of hand-filling grips helps a lot to manage recoil. Those skinny originals are just torture to my hands.

I agree. A set of Hogue monogrips transformed my Security Six.

I have got a set of compact Pachmayer's on it and it makes a ton of difference but it is still not my favorite toy.
