2nd Chance (2022) (MOVIE / DOCUMENTARY)
2nd Chance (2022)

https://m.imdb.com/title/tt16282914/
An exploration of the life and legacy of Richard Davis, the brash inventor of the modern-day bulletproof vest. Determined to prove his risky product worked, Davis traveled the country shooting himself at least 192 times, gaining the trust and business of the US Government along the way. No one believed in his product more than Davis, but when safety questions arose, a key partner turned federal whistle blower and Davis went to inexcusable lengths to obscure defects in both the vest and his business.

PS; I came across this documentary when I was listening to a podcast featuring Jerry Miculek, when he mentioned Pin Shooting and Richard Davis.

A friend of mine had an encounter with Davis... during which he shot Davis in the chest with his 1911... Davis was taken by surprise... no more so than my friend's OC (in whose office this impromptu demonstration took place).
