Default S.P.A.S. 12-L. Franchi S.P.A. -Bressia Made in Italy Semi Automatic Value please

Hello everybody, I am writing to request to you all to try and establish and find out what is this firearm worth, it has not been fired in over 25 years and has been stored in a dry climate.

As far as I am aware it is in a very new looking condition.

Once I can establish what the value is then I will consider to sell it.

Please note that it is now in an Estate and the rifle will be sold through the estate and attorneys.

Once again it does not want to upload the photos because of their size and I am not sure how to re-size them.

    Thank You

I would pitch it at 15-20K for the collector value.
I bought mine for 5K decades ago.

    Morning thanks for your reply.

Am I allowed to sell or advertise it here below in this section?

Looking at your join date and number of posts I have a strong suspicion that the mods will let you post in the for sale section. Ask and see what happens.

Ever since watching a movie with someone sporting a SPAS 12 as a student, I wanted one. It just looked super sexy to my eyes. None were available, so I had to settle for the somewhat related PA8 (pump action only) shotgun. Much lighter, but uses the same uncomfortable top-folding stock. I added a few parts to remove the pain when shooting it.

On a SPAS 12, be aware that it has an elastomer buffer inside the action to soften the impact of the breech block at the rear. These inevitably crumble with age and thus stop protecting the action from impact. If you want to use it in semi-auto mode, a replacement buffer would be a very good idea. No idea where to find such a part. Also check the plastic furniture for embrittlement and cracking.

A-R, I am extremely lucky not to have had issues with the furniture, and considering the abuse I’ve put it through, it is in very good condition for its age and use. There is a rubber insert in the front of the pistol grip that has completely perished, leaving a groove, but it does not affect functionality at all. The fore-end is very heavy and the springs need changing, but this gun is over 30 years old now and has been shot a lot back when ammo was cheap and chicks were free.
The buffer is a replaceable part...

I stuck a piece of grip tape over the gap.

A great movie ( in my opinion) where the SPAS 12 makes an appearance.
