Re: The Cape Knifemakers Guild presents Knife Show 2010
So My GF and I went to this show...some really great work...its amazing how much effort these knives are to make and how little they go for...
The pics are horrible cell phone pics...apologies.
This handle out of orange G10 so you can find it easily if you drop it in the veld...

Re: The Cape Knifemakers Guild presents Knife Show 2010

All these knives, axes, and swords made from spring steel sourced from car/truck springs..
This little folder was going for R800, small, light, very slick opening, almost looked assisted in action with awesome individual bushman artwork inside. The blades also very flexible, so not prone to breaking easily...very neat complete with liner lock.

Awesome blade, 2 types of steel, 1 softer (Damascus) outer skin either side 'sandwiching' a much harder core steel to keep your edge sharp longer and give a unique look amingst other benefits...

Geoff, I saw the carbon fibre holster you made at one stand. Very nice!
Is it made using the same priciples as the thermoplastc holsters?
